THIS TOO SHALL PASS

Being a parent is absolutely the HARDEST thing I have EVER done in my life! You have to be completely self-less, patient, flexible, understanding & calm... all on little sleep!! These qualities don't come natural to me, but since becoming a mom, God has taught me how to develop these attributes.

Through my mommy journey, I've realized that God gave Chris and I a colicky, fussy baby (Tilman is much better now ;-)) for many reasons... one of those reasons was to bring us closer to him... and it has!!! This is such a blessing, in disguise. "Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds" - James 1:2... In the tough times, we reach to God, but in the blissful moments, we often forget the creator that is blessing us with that moment. We must face tough times in order to stregthen our relationship with God. The bad times make the good times better ;-)

This page is all about inspiration.  Below are my favorite verses and quotes. They've changed my outlook, gave me hope & lifted my spirits....

BIBLE VERSES

"For our light and momentary troubles are acheiving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." - 2 Corinthians 4:17

"Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life." - Phillippians 4:7

"In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths." - Proverbs 3:6

"Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man... He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord." - Psalm 112:4

"Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough worry of its own." - Matthew 6:34

"One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple." - Psalm 27:4

"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalm 118:24

QUOTES & SAYINGS

- You will never have this day with your child again. Tomorrow they will be a little older then they were today. This day is a gift. Just breathe, notice, study their faces and little feet. Pay attention. Relish the charms of the present. Enjoy today, it will be over before you know it.

- I'll always need my son no matter what age I am. My son has made me laugh, made me proud, made me cry, hugged me tight, seen me fall, cheered me up, kept me strong and driven me crazy at time. But my son is a promise from God that I will have a friend forever!
