DIY BEAUTY

DIY BATH BOMB
makes about 8 cupcake sized bombs

What you need:
1C baking Soda
3/4C corn starch
1/4C sea salt (I like using pink Himalayan)
1C citric acid (get at health food store)
5-10 drops of essential oil (I like lavender or peppermint)
Spray bottle filled with a little water
Molds or cupcake tins and liners

How to:
Mix dry ingredients. Spray about 10 squirts of water. It will fizz a little, so mix quickly so the powder doesn't lose all of it's fizzle. Firmly pack damp mixture into molds or lined tins. Place in fridge overnight. The "bombs" are fragile so carefully remove and package.

To use:
Drop bath bomb into warm tub. It will fizz and release the minerals into your tub. Soak and enjoy!

COCO COFFEE HONEY MASK
makes enough for several masks

What you need:
1-2TBSP honey
1/2TBSP unsweeted 100% coco powder
1/2TBSP coffee grounds (I like using peppermint flavored coffee to get the relaxing benefits of peppermint, too)

How to:
Mix all ingredients together and place in air-tight jar.

To use:
Rub on damp face. Leave on face for 5-15 minutes. Rinse off well. Afterward, I like to moisturize with my coconut oil face and eye cream (below)

COCONUT CITRUS SALT SCRUB
makes enough for several small jars

What you need:
1.5C sea salt
1/2C coconut oil, liquified
zest of one lemon

How to:
Combine ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Store in air-tight container.

To use:
Slather on skin (I do this while in shower with water pointed away from me). Rinse off.

SLEEPY TIME LAVENDER OIL
makes enough for several uses

What you need:
2TBSP coconut or almond oil
10 drops of pure lavender essential oil

How to:
Mix well and store in container

To use:
I rub this on Tilman's feet after bath to relax him. I also use it as a lotion for my body after a bath or body scrub.

DEEP PORE CLEANSER
What you need:
1TBSP apple cider vinegar
3TBSP water

How to:
Combine ingredients. Use a cottonball to sponge on dry skin. No need to rinse off.

*This simple solution will clean out your pores and minimize their appearance. Use 2-3 times a week. If you have sensitive skin, add more water to vinegar and use less frequently.

ANTI-AGING EYE & FACE CREAM
What you need:
2TBSP pure coconut oil
1/2 tsp Vitamin E Oil
Optional: Evening Primrose Oil (Pop a hole in 4 capsules and squeeze oil out)

How to:
Mix oils in container and store. Place in fridge to solidify. If it melts and becomes liquid, that's fine, too... it works just the same.

To use:
Apply to clean eye area and face every night. I also rub it on my neck and chest. I often use this during the day under makeup and it surprisingly doesn't make my face look greasy!
